 The Coos Forest Protective Association is currently accepting applications for an 8-month seasonal Forest Inmate Crew Coordinator at the Coos Bay Office. This position is located within the Coos Bay Unit of the Coos FPA District.



·                     Have a current/valid Oregon Driver’s License, Class “C” or higher

·                     Pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and driving record check.

·                     Pass a Work Capacity Test at the Arduous Level.

Coos Bay                                             8-month seasonal position




·         Manage a 10-person inmate hand crew under various conditions.

·         Participate in training and leading of crew in wildland fire suppression, pre-suppression, fire prevention and safety activities.

·         Perform maintenance on fire equipment, buildings and grounds.

·         Complete reports, time sheets and logs associated with crew’s daily activities.

·         Maintain positive working relationship with DOC, co-workers and cooperators.
